Dyson Launches Airstrait Hair Straightener in India
The Dyson Airstrait uses air to dry and straighten wet hair. The company said the gadget is designed for multiple hair types.
One of the organising members said, “Having a strong understanding of how to manipulate and realise the potential of powerful airflow is fundamental to the performance of Dyson Airstrait. This expertise, which we’ve gained over the last 25 years, enabled us to deliver our first wet-to-dry straightener, with no hot plates, and no heat damage.
“Delivering the ease-of-use that people love about straighteners but with high-velocity air blades, the Dyson Airstrait saves time, maintains hair strength and achieves an everyday natural straight style.”
The gadget has ‘wet’ and ‘dry’ styling modes, and a ‘cool’ setting. They come with different temperature levels.
One of the stylists, Sanya, said, “Heating your hair twice, once with the dryer and the second time with the straightener is like boiling your hair. But when you have a product that's two-in-one, the chances of hair damage become minimal. Our product doesn't affect the porosity of the hair as well.”
“Doing it on the roots is a perpetual fear for most, but since the temperature on this is minimal, your skin or hair won't get burnt while undergoing the process.”
As a safety feature, Airstrait switches off when not used for some time. It resumes work upon a touch.
The company said the Dyson Airstrait, priced at `45,900, is available in Prussian blue/rich copper and Bright nickel/rich copper colours. More information is available at the company’s demo stores, website dyson.in or the Mydyson app.
