GHMC Misses SNDP Deadline, Urges Staggered IT Logouts for Rainy Days

Hyderabad: The GHMC after missing the deadline to execute the Strategic Nala Development Programme (SNDP) has urged IT companies to implement staggered office logout timings when it rains heavily, so as to reduce the rush of traffic on the roads.

The GHMC said in a press release that it had urged IT companies to logout sequentially by co-ordinating among themselves during downpours. Meanwhile, gearing up for the monsoon, the state government has pressed into service monsoon emergency teams.

Government departments will deploy 534 monsoon emergency teams. The GHMC will deploy 157 mobile and 242 static teams, besides 29 units on main roads and 30 Disaster Response Force (DRF) squads.
