AP: Heavy rains lash Nandyal, Kurnool sees moderate showers


Kurnool: While Kurnool witnessed moderate rainfall in the past 24 hours, heavy downpours lashed neighbouring Nandyal district.
Uyyalawada in Orvakal mandal received the highest amount at 12 cm, significantly reducing temperatures across both districts despite persistent humidity.
Thunderstorms have become a nightly occurrence, with many areas experiencing heavy lightning.

Despite the recent downpours, Srisailam, Pagidyala, and Owk still face rainfall deficits. Allagadda remains the district's leader in total rainfall this month.
Kurnool fared better than Nandyal with moderate rainfall. Kallur received 5 cm in the last 24 hours, while Adoni, Maddikera, Yemmiganur, and Kurnool urban mandal have also seen moderate showers this month.
