Parvathi by Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA), investigation by sleuths of Directorate of Enforcement (ED), Bengaluru zonal office, into alleged plot distribution irregularities in Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) throw light at the large scale illegal plot allotments by MUDA and point fingers at the role of previous MUDA Commissioner G.T. The sleuths of ED, Bengaluru began their investigation into plot distribution irregularities in MUDA after registering an Enforcement Case Information Report (ECIR) based on Lokayukta, Mysuru wing registered First Information Report (FIR) against Chief Minister in plot distribution irregularities to his wife B.M. Lokayukta registered an FIR against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, his wife B.M. Parvathi among others under various sections of Indian Penal Code and also under Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 on complaint from social activist Snehamayi Krishna.

The allegation against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is that he used his political influence to get compensation for his wife B.M. Parvathi lost 3.16 acres in Kesare in Mysuru taluk to MUDA. As compensation, Parvathi was allotted 14 plots by MUDA in a posh locality in Mysuru city worth about Rs 56 crore.

The investigation by ED sleuths gathered incriminating evidence with respect to payment of illegal gratification to then MUDA Commissioner and MUDA Chairman in the form of immovable properties, plots, cash among others.

Meanwhile, ED investigation also revealed money laundering in plot allotments and the sleuths provisionally attached 142 immovable properties of Rs 300 crore market value under the provisions of Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2022 in connection with large scale illegal plot allotments by MUDA. The attached properties are registered in the name of various individuals who are working as real estate businessmen and agents. Further investigation is underway by sleuths of ED.
