Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao on Thursday said that former prime minister P.V. Narasimha Rao was a great reformer who drew the attention of the world with his unparalleled intelligence and multilingualism.
Rama Rao was speaking at an event to commemorate Narasimha Rao’s 103 birth anniversary celebrations.
“The nation will never forget Narasimha Rao's history as a poet, storyteller, intellectual and reformer. The country would remember his name as long as India exists,” Rama Rao said and noted that he was the first Prime Minster from South India. “Despite his excellent command of 16 languages, at times, his silence reigned supreme as his language,” Rama Rao said.
Rama Rao stated that Narasimha Rao brought in an economist who was not related to politics and carried out economic reforms.. He handed over his 800 acres of family land to the government and initiated key land reforms
