Bhopal: The 21st animal census in Madhya Pradesh is set to commence within the next two months, according to officials. Dr. Anupam Agrawal, Additional Director of the State Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development Department, confirmed that the survey will begin either in October or November and is expected to be completed within three months.
Approximately 6,000 officials will be deployed for the task across the state's 55 districts. These officials will visit each of the 1.80 crore households to conduct the census of domestic and stray animals. Data will be recorded on tablets and uploaded to specialized animal census software.

Training sessions for the officials participating in the census were held on Thursday.
