Hyderabad: Pawan Kalyan has said that his son, Mark Shankar Pawanovich, who was injured in a school fire in Singapore, is recovering. The deputy CM of Andhra Pradesh stated, “Our youngest son, Mark Shankar, was injured in a school fire in Singapore and is being treated in hospital. He is gradually recovering.”
He added that Mark will undergo bronchoscopy after smoke inhalation.
The actor-politician shared that Prime Minister Narendra Modi called him after hearing the news, offering words of support that “gave courage” during the difficult time. He added that the Indian High Commissioner in Singapore was instructed to extend necessary assistance. AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu also reached out to him over the phone.
His elder brother, megastar Chiranjeevi, along with his wife, Surekha, accompanied Pawan to Singapore. The trio took the late-night flight on Tuesday to visit Mark, who is receiving treatment at a local hospital.
