Hyderabad: In a novel initiative, the Telangana police have set up replicas of traffic police and police patrolling vehicles at black spots on National Highways to prevent road mishaps and to create an opinion among riders that police are on duty there.
The Karimnagar police have set up cutouts with pictures of traffic police and patrolling vehicles on karimnagar to Vemulawada highway to create awareness among the vehicle riders on traffic rules. When we notice such a cutout, vehicle riders think that police are on duty parking their vehicle at the junctions.
The video on cutouts of police man and patrolling vehicle erected at karimnagar went viral on social media and the netizens started making comments on traffic rules and meritorious service of Telangana police. First time, the Telangana police have set up such cutouts on highways following the road accidents cases being gone up on national highways due to over speed. To prevent such accidents, police took up a novel idea to create awareness among vehicle riders.
