Police to move SC for Arjun bail cancellation
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad police will approach the Supreme Court for the cancellation of an interim bail granted to Telugu film actor Allu Arjun, high-placed sources in the police department said.
The Telangana High Court granted an interim bail to Allu Arjun in the case related to the death of a woman in the Sandhya theatre stampede on December 4. However, as the police gathered fresh evidence during the investigation, they will soon approach the Supreme Court seeking the cancellation of Allu Arjun’s interim bail, the top police officials confirmed to Deccan Chronicle.
Hyderabad police commissioner C.V. Anand and health secretary Dr Christina visited KIMS Hospital to check the health condition of nine-year-old Sri Tej, the son of the stampede victim, and was injured in the stampede.
After interacting with doctors, Anand said that it might take a long time for Sri Tej to recover as his brain has been damaged due to suffocation in the stampede. Sri Tej is currently being treated with ventilator support and the doctors have informed him that the treatment is likely to be prolonged. He said the doctors will soon release a medical bulletin on Teja's health.
Similarly, the health secretary said that they are monitoring Sri Tej's health condition regularly and hope that he would recover soon. The KIMS medical team, Central Zone DCP Akshamsh Yadav, and other officers were also present during the visit.
