T. Harish Rao criticizes Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for prioritizing politics over education reforms, cites pending wages and staff vacancies
Hyderabad: BRS leader T. Harish Rao on Sunday accused the Congress government of being indifferent to problems affecting the school education system.
Though Revanth Reddy was in charge of the education department, the BRS leader said the Chief Minister prioritised political issues over public problems and had not taken any new measures in the seven months since you took office.
In an open letter to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, the BRS leader, said 54,201 cook-cum-helpers working under the mid-day meal scheme in government schools have not paid their pending wages and foodgrain and egg bills were not cleared for the past seven months.
"Approximately 9,000 teacher vacancies in primary schools should be filled immediately following the transfers of SGTs. Guarantee the supply of free electricity to government schools," he said.
Sanitation staff should be appointed immediately to maintain proper sanitation in schools, he said
