Vijayawada: The President of India, Droupadi Murmu, will attend the first convocation of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) at Mangalagiri in Guntur district on 17 December.
AIIMS authorities, along with Guntur District Collector S. Nagalakshmi, SP Satish Kumar, and other officials, held a meeting in the administrative wing of AIIMS on Saturday to discuss the arrangements for the event.
Given the President’s attendance and the presence of other dignitaries, officials stressed the need for foolproof security arrangements, including the establishment of barricades.
They also inspected the entry and exit routes for the President and identified the location for a photo session with the degree recipients.
