'Saint' predicts return of YSRC and Jagan to power in AP
Anantapur: Saint Paripoornananda, who stood as an independent candidate from Hindupur assembly segment made sensational comments on Monday, effectively “predicting” the results in the state.
He claimed the YSRC will get 123 assembly seats and YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will be chief minister for the second term.
The saint-turned politician couldn't get the Hindupur MP seat as the BJP high command reserved it for its ally Telugu Desam. Hence, his contest as an independent.
Paripoornananda however cautioned the people that an unexpected twist can be seen in the Hindupur assembly segment, where a huge number of women voters from rural areas “voted for the YSRC.”
The saint hinted at defeat to film star and TD candidate Nandamuri Balakrishna, who is aiming at a hatrick victory there this time.
He also expressed his views that the NDA will win the national polls and Narendra Modi will be PM for the third consecutive term.
