Strict Security in Place for Telangana Intermediate Exams
Telangana IPE exams to be held from March 5-25 with CCTV surveillance, prohibitory orders, and strict security at 1,532 centres

Hyderabad: The government and Board of Intermediate officials have put in place strict security measures for the Telangana Intermediate Public Examinations (IPE), scheduled from March 5 to March 25.
In Hyderabad, students have been advised to reach their exam centres by 8 am for the exams that will be conducted from 9 am to 12 noon. The government has arranged for RTC buses to the exam centres.
Authorities are also ensuring uninterrupted electricity, adequate drinking water, proper sanitation and medical support at the exam centers. CCTV cameras will be installed at all the venues and the unsealing of question paper packets and the sealing of answer sheets will be monitored under surveillance.
To enhance security, prohibitory orders will be imposed around the exam centres and mandal revenue officers (MROs) have been instructed to take necessary measures to prevent copying, including shutting down photocopy shops near the venues.
Officials will conduct surprise inspections and only the individuals with valid ID cards issued by the concerned authority will be permitted entry.
The exams are held at 1,532 centre, with 4,88,336 first-year students and 5,07,956 second-year students registered for the 2025 examinations. Students are advised to download their hall tickets in advance and use the QR code provided to verify their exam centre locations.
Hyderabad Intermediate district education officer D. Oddenna said, “In Hyderabad, exams will take place in 244 centres, with 1,79,218 students, 85,753 from the first year and 93,465 from the second year, appearing.”
He added, “To ensure smooth conduct of the exams, six superintendents, one departmental officer, ten sitting squads and four flying squads have been deployed. Additionally, 51 custodians have been appointed to oversee question paper security. We are ensuring that all exam centers have the necessary infrastructure facilities.”
