Telangana to Launch Major Welfare Schemes Today
Telangana to roll out Rythu Bharosa, Indiramma Bharosa, housing and ration card schemes across state starting Sunday

Hyderabad: The government is set to unveil four major welfare schemes on Sunday, Republic Day. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, along with Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and Cabinet ministers, will visit the districts to formally hand over benefits under Rythu Bharosa, Indiramma Atmeeya Bharosa, Indiramma houses, and ration cards.
The schemes will be launched simultaneously in a single selected village from each of the 606 mandals across the state at 1 pm. The entire state is to be covered between February 1 and March 31.
The launch in 16 mandals of Hyderabad district will be deferred to February due to the ongoing beneficiary identification survey under the GHMC limits. On Saturday, Revanth Reddy held a review meeting with ministers and officials to finalise the modalities for the launch. The Chief Minister directed officials to ensure that the schemes benefit 100 per cent of eligible beneficiaries in the selected villages on launch day. He emphasised a phased implementation to cover the state by March 31, with efforts beginning in other villages and mandals in all the districts from the first week of February. The CM mandated stringent field verification processes to ensure only eligible beneficiaries receive assistance. He warned of strict action against officials who fail to meet standards or include ineligible individuals. Under Rythu Bharosa, farmers will receive ₹12,000 per acre annually, split into two installments for the kharif and rabi seasons. This marks an increase from the ₹10,000 provided under the Rythu Bandhu scheme of the BRS government.
The CM hinted at future increases in payouts based on the state’s fiscal health. Under Indiramma Atmeeya Bharosa landless agricultural labourers will receive ₹12,000 annually, marking their inclusion in the welfare framework for the first time. Under the Indiramma Housing scheme beneficiaries will receive ₹5 lakh to construct houses on their plots, disbursed in five installments linked to construction milestones. New ration cards are being issued in the state after a gap of seven years to BPL families.
Following the CM's instructions, Chief Secretary A. Santhi Kumari held a video conference with collectors on Saturday, outlined detailed instructions for Sunday’s launch. Special teams will oversee the distribution of benefits under each scheme, with designated officers ensuring smooth operations in the selected villages. Beneficiary lists will be prominently displayed, and gram sabhas will be organised to create a festive atmosphere during the ceremonies.
The Chief Secretary stressed that collectors must thoroughly review and approve the beneficiary lists to avoid errors. Mandal-level special officers will act as in-charges to coordinate efforts. With these initiatives, the Congress government aims to provide robust support to farmers, agricultural labourers, and economically vulnerable families.
The CM urged citizens to actively participate in the launch events, highlighting that these schemes mark a significant milestone in the state’s welfare policies.
