Warangal Cong. leaders seek bus stand at Kazipet railway junction

Warangal (HANAMKONDA): Warangal West MLA Naini Rajendar Reddy and MP Kadiam Kavya met with Bharatesh Kumar, the railway divisional manager of South Central Railways, on Thursday in Hyderabad. During the meeting, they requested allocation of railway land to construct a new bus stand near the Kazipet railway junction.
Addressing the Assembly, the leaders said that Kazipet is a key junction with extensive railway connectivity, catering to thousands of passengers daily. They said that many rely on RTC buses to reach their villages. A new bus stand is expected to benefit employees, students, workers in small industries, and local businessmen.
Recently, the district collector, along with other relevant officials, identified one acre of railway land near Kazipet railway station as a potential site for the new bus stand. The proposed bus stand is projected to improve daily travel convenience. The state government has committed to allocate funds to build the bus stand.
Reddy and Kavya criticised the previous BRS government for neglecting the community’s demand for this facility, stating that their administration showed little concern for establishing a new bus stand.
In response, Bharatesh Kumar expressed a positive stance towards the land allocation request. He assured the leaders that he would present the proposal to the Railway Board for further consideration, signaling potential progress toward fulfilling the region’s transportation infrastructure needs.
