Warangal Master Plan to Match Hyderabad's Growth

State government unveils Warangal's master plan for 2050, including infrastructure upgrades, new industries, and enhanced public services
Warangal: The state government is putting together a master plan for Warangal so that it can meet the requirements of an increased population up to 2050. It is also preparing an action plan for development of Warangal on par with Hyderabad, said in-charge minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy.

The master plan will have a pharma city, IT and manufacturing units, tourism, educational institutions, stadium and a dumping yard. The works of both inner and Outer Ring Roads will be taken up along with the establishment of an airport at Mamnoor.

Reddy was here to hoist the National Flag at Warangal Fort in Hanamkonda district to mark the Independence Day celebrations.

The BRS government, which laid the foundation stones for the construction of a super specialty hospital and Kaloji Kalakshetram had left the works midway. Srinivas Reddy After the formation of the Congress government, work was going on at brisk pace.

In place of the old bus stand in Warangal city, the government is establishing a new and ultramodern bus stand with advanced facilities, he added.

Panchayat raj minister Seethakka, participating in the Independence Day celebrations in Mulugu, said the government is taking all kinds of measures for all round development of Mulugu district. The construction work of new collectorate complex buildings, central tribal university and medical college is going on a fast track mode.

The state government is striving for the welfare of all sections of people in the state. It is ready to repay the loans of woman members of Self-Help Group who will die after taking the loan for some reason. The SHG members need not worry since the state government is committed to strengthening women's societies across the state, she added.

Cultural performances by schoolchildren and showcasing of Telangana culture and tradition attracted audiences from far off places.
