Thiruvananthapuram:Malayalam actor Nivin Pauly has expressed suspicion of a conspiracy regarding the rape complaint filed against him.
Addressing reporters in Kochi on Tuesday after an FIR was lodged following a woman’s complaint, Nivin stated, “The allegations are entirely untrue. I am determined to go to any extent to prove these allegations are baseless and will take all necessary steps to bring those responsible to light. Thank you for your concern. The rest will be handled legally.”
Nivin expressed suspicion of a conspiracy regarding the complaint, which he mentioned had been closed by the police one and a half months ago, only to resurface now.
The actor stated that he has never encountered the girl in question, nor has he communicated with her, and he is not acquainted with her. He described the accusation as unfounded and noted that it was his first experience with such a claim.
“I convened the press conference today because I am completely certain of my innocence. My family stands by me; I reached out to my mother first, and they are all supportive. We are unfamiliar with any of the alleged individuals involved in the case. My only connection is knowing someone who finances films,” he explained. He mentioned that anyone could be subject to such allegations in the future.
“This battle is not only mine but also my colleagues’. My friends have also reached out to show their support. We are open to any scientific examination. Discussing matters like this is not my usual practice,” he concluded.
