Priyank Kharge Confident in Congress's Prospects Despite Exit Polls
Speaking to reporters in Kalaburagi on Sunday, Kharge remarked, “The Congress will surely win 18 seats in the state, and the I.N.D.I.A. parties will cross 295 seats nationwide."
He recalled past electoral outcomes to highlighted the disparity between exit poll predictions and the actual results.
“The exit polls did not indicate Congress winning more than 100 seats in the Karnataka Assembly elections. However, the outcome defied expectations. That is why the ‘people's exit poll’ is important,” Kharge noted.
Casting doubt on BJP’s aspirations of the NDA crossing 400 seats nationwide, Kharge said: “Many BJP candidates advocated the 400-seat mark for changing the Constitution. The people are well aware. They will ensure the BJP’s tally falls short, likely not exceeding 230 seats.”
