Submit status on cases against Jagan: SC

Vijayawada:The Supreme Court on Monday directed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to provide case status details in a chart format regarding the disproportionate assets cases against former Andhra Pradesh chief minister and YSR Congress president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.

The court also sought information on pending applications in Telangana courts and scheduled the next hearing for December 13.

The directive came during the hearing of a petition filed by K. Raghu Rama Krishna Raju, the Deputy Speaker of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly.

The petitioner alleged delays in case proceedings and sought the transfer of the cases to another state. A single-judge bench headed by Justice Abhay S. Oka heard the matter and instructed the investigative agencies to submit comprehensive details in the prescribed format.
