Agni-5 nuclear-capable ballistic missile with China in its range tested
India on Sunday successfully test-fired its indigenously developed nuclear-capable Long Range Ballistic Missile Agni-5.
BALASORE: India on Sunday successfully test-fired Agni-5 from the Integrated Test Range (ITR) in Abdul Kalam Island, formerly known as Wheeler Island in Odisha’s Bhadrak district.
The indigenously developed intercontinental surface-to-surface nuclear capable missile was fired with a strike range of 5,000 km to 8,000 km that can reach almost all parts of China. The 17-metre-long and 2-metre-wide missile weighs around 50 tonnes. It can carry a nuclear warhead of more than one tonne.
