Sircilla: Cop injured in Incident Involving Illegal sand transport

In a dramatic turn of events, a police constable sustained serious injuries after being thrown from a moving tractor by the driver during a raid on illegal sand transportation in Mustabad mandal. The incident occurred when the constable, Satyanarayana, fell onto rocks after the tractor he was on plunged into a lake.

According to police reports, sources had alerted officials about the illegal transport of sand in five tractors at midnight. Responding swiftly, police officials from Mustabad mandal conducted raids and seized the vehicles involved.

While the seized tractors were being escorted to the police station by a constable, a confrontation arose between the driver of the last tractor, identified as Guru Babu, and Constable Satyanarayana. As the tractor neared the midway point to the station, Guru Babu suddenly leaped from the moving vehicle without applying the brakes, fleeing the scene.

In the confusion, Constable Satyanarayana attempted to jump from the out-of-control tractor but fell onto rocks by the lakeside, sustaining severe injuries. When the fifth tractor failed to arrive at the police station, concerned officers retraced their route and discovered the injured constable. He was immediately transported to the government hospital in Karimnagar before being transferred to a hospital in Hyderabad for advanced medical care.

The police have registered a case against Guru Babu and have launched a manhunt to apprehend him. Sources reveal that Constable Satyanarayana, who is now receiving treatment in Hyderabad, has a history of suspensions for various reasons.

The investigation continues as police work to locate Guru Babu and bring him to justice.
