Bus veers off road due to fog, 8 injured
Nizamabad: Eight passengers, the conductor and the driver of a TSRTC bus received minor injuries after the vehicle veered off the road due to poor visibility caused by the dense fog at Gudimet on the outskirts of Gandhari on Tuesday morning. The bus associated with Banswada depot was on its way to Kamareddy with 15 passengers onboard.
The alerted RTC officials and police rushed to the spot and shifted the passengers onto another bus to reach their destinations.
Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, TSRTC Nizamabad regional manager Johny Reddy said that a safety team was sent to the spot for relief works. Due to thick fog, the bus veered off the road. However, a major mishap was avoided as the driver managed to control the vehicle from toppling. The bus was shifted to the bus station, he added.
