12K AP polytechnic students get campus placements: Nagarani
VIJAYAWADA: AP Technical Education commissioner Chadalavada Nagarani on Saturday asserted that the campus placements within polytechnic colleges in Andhra Pradesh reflect the industry's confidence in the skills and abilities of the state’s polytechnic students.
Addressing the Job Achievers Day organised at the Vijayawada Polytechnic, she pointed out that 12,000 polytechnic students have got campus placements in the year 2023–24 in various leading institutes. She said their aim is to provide employment to every student who completes her/his polytechnic course in Andhra Pradesh.
The commissioner asked polytechnic students to make good use of their employment opportunities while continuing and completing their higher studies.
She underlined that salary allowances for students recruited through campus placements are substantial, with the average salary package being ₹3 lakh. She said many students have also received annual salary offers of ₹8 lakh.
Nagarani pointed out that among the companies / industries / firms recruiting staff from polytechnics are Texas Instruments, Thoughtworks, MEIL, GE Aerospace, MosChip, Suzlon, Amararaja, AM/NS India, Efftronics, Medha Servo, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, Shapoorji Pallonji, Tata Projects, Alfa Laval, Maruti Suzuki, Royal Enfield, Wheels India, SmartDV Technologies, NFCL, and HL Mando Anand India.
