Actor Suman Pitches for Film City in Andhra Pradesh

Anantapur: Veteran Tollywood actor Suman urged the Andhra Pradesh government, led by the Telugu Desam (TD), to prioritise the development of the state's film industry alongside the ongoing Amaravati capital city project.

Suman, who visited Tirumala on Saturday for darshan of Lord Venkateswara Swamy, interacted with the media afterwards. He congratulated the NDA on their recent assembly election victory and highlighted the need to revive development efforts that, according to him, slowed down in the previous five years.

Suman expressed his belief that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu's leadership is crucial for the state's overall growth. He emphasised attracting industries and IT companies to generate employment opportunities for the youth. Acknowledging the pivotal role Naidu played in developing Hyderabad, Suman stressed the importance of transforming Amaravati into a cosmopolitan city to compete with other states.

Suman went a step further, proposing the establishment of film cities in strategic locations across Andhra Pradesh. He suggested Tirupati, East Godavari, and West Godavari districts as potential sites to encourage filmmaking within the state.

In a separate development, actor Sai Dharam Tej, nephew of Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, fulfilled his vow by undertaking a padayatra (foot pilgrimage) from Alipiri to the Tirumala temple. Dharam Tej had earlier announced this pilgrimage as a tribute to his uncle's victory in the elections. Videos of his visit garnered significant attention on social media.
