Adilabad: Government Teacher Translates Balala Mahabharatham into Gondi

Adilabad: A government teacher, Thodasam Kailas of Adilabad, translated the Telugu book of ‘Balala Mahabharatham’ into the Gondi language in Telugu script with the title of ‘Pandokna Mahabharat’. ‘Balala Mahabharatham’ was written by Swamy Gnanadananda. The book will be released at a function here on July 7.

Kailas said that the translation of the story of the Mahabharat into Gondi took him four months and added that many Gondi words which are disappearing gradually will come to life with this translation.

Kailas said that people would learn many things including different social life styles and war strategies and how to respect elders and preceptors and teachers from its story which also would give them confidence to lead an ideal life.
