Alliance parties attacking women who voted for Jagan: MLC Kalyani
Visakhapatnam: President of state YSRC Mahila wing and MLC Varudu Kalyani has alleged that the three-party alliance, fearful of a defeat, resorted to attacks on women who had voted for the YSRC.
Addressing the media on Friday, Kalyani said the policies of the YSRC government benefited 87 per cent of the families in the state and hence women in large numbers rushed to vote for Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Chandrababu Naidu along with his sister-in-law D Purandeswari tried many conspiracies to win the elections but the people remained with Jagan Reddy, she claimed.
She said YSRC members were remaining calm though they were being provoked by the opposition parties. She condemned the attack on a woman, Raja Kumari, and another old woman by former minister and TD leader Ch Ayyanna Patrudu in Dharmasagaram area of Narsipatnam.
She said Raja Kumari was a volunteer and after resigning from the post, she started working for the YSRC party.
“Ayyanna Patrudu claims that this was his tenth election. As a senior is he sending this kind of messages to the people,’’ she said.
