Andhra Cricket Association to Hold Elections Next Month
Vijayawada: Vijayawada MP and Kurnool District Cricket Association vice president Kesineni Sivanath alias Chinni announced that former state election commissioner Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar has been appointed as the election officer for elections of the Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) next month.
He made the announcement at a press conference at the conclusion of ACA’s special general body meeting on Sunday.
MP Sivanath disclosed that all the existing office bearers of the Andhra Cricket Association have tendered their resignations which have been accepted.
A three-member committee has been formed to take care of ACA activities till the elections are held. The committee members are former minister R.V.S.K. Ranga Rao, Mancho Ferar and Jagarlamudi Murali Mohan Rao.
MP Chinni stated that in the general body meeting various issues pertaining to ACA were discussed like the condition of cricket stadiums and facilities for cricket players. The MP said that many advice and suggestions have been given regarding these issues.
ACA former secretary Gopinath Reddy, former joint secretary Rakesh, former treasurer Chalam, Sana Satish, presidents and secretaries of various district cricket associations were present at the special general body meeting.
