Kakinada: The Tuni Town police have arrested 17 individuals from Tuni Constituency, and one from Annamayya District, for allegedly posting derogatory remarks on social media targeting Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, former finance minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu and the current Tuni MLA, Yanamala Divya.
Tuni Town circle inspector Chenna Kesava Rao confirmed that a local complaint had been filed against the individuals for their offensive social media activity. He also stated that one of the posts was taken up suo motu by the police. As a result, a case has been registered, and the suspects are in custody.
