Tirupati:A youth lost his life in an accident during Ganesh idol immersion festivities in Kavali town of Nellore district on Monday. Ramesh, 27, a resident of Indra Nagar, was fatally injured when he fell from a tractor and was crushed under its tires. The incident occurred near Koladinne Girijan Colony when Ramesh was travelling to Thummalapenta Beach for the third day of Ganesh immersion festivities.
Eyewitnesses report that he lost his balance and fell from the moving vehicle. Locals rushed Ramesh to Kavali Government Area Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival. His body has been sent for post-mortem. Police registered a case and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
