Kuwait fire victims include 3 from AP
VISAKHAPATNAM / KAKINADA: Of the 50 Indians killed in the Kuwait inferno, three are from Andhra Pradesh.
Authorities have identified them as Thamada Lokanadham (31) from Sompeta, Srikakulam district, Molleti Satyanarayana (45) from Khandavalli and Meesala Eeswarudu (45) from Annavarappadu, both in Peravali of West Godavari district.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, who has been monitoring the incident closely, instructed officials of various departments to coordinate and ensure early transportation of the mortal remains of the deceased migrants to their native places. Further, Naidu announced ₹5 lakh to families of each of the deceased.
Lokanadham had been working as a rolling operator helper at the NBTC organisation for six years. He had just returned to Kuwait from his native Sompeta.
Satyanarayana and Eeswarudu had been working as delivery personnel in Kuwait. Satyanarayana went to Kuwait for employment 12 years ago. Recently he had constructed a house. He returned to Kuwait after the house warming ceremony.
Eeswarudu, an agriculture labourer, went to Kuwait 10 years ago.
