Kakinada: Eluru One town police arrested three persons- Nuthipalli Pawan, 20, of Teachers’ Colony in Eluru, Narapati Nagedra, 26, of Eluru and Gaddi Vijaya Kumar alias Nani, 24, on the charges of attempting to rape a woman at Dharmajigudem mandal on the early hours of Saturday.

5 arrested for obscene charges
Nallajerla police arrested five persons on the charges of engaging in obscene dances with lady dancers on Saturday. Kovvuru DSP G. Deva Kumar said on the eve of Gunnam Suresh's birthday, his friends arranged a party with lady dancers at Gantavari Gudem village in Nallajerla Mandal in East Godavari District.
On a tip-off, a police team headed by Nallajerla circle inspector and Devarapalli sub-inspector conducted raids on the farmhouse of Suresh and found Suresh, Yuvaraj and other three persons participating in obscene dances with lady dancers. They were arrested and a case was registered by Nallajerla police.
