350 Acres Identified at Kotipalli for Industries in AP: Minister Subhash

Kakinada: Labour minister Vasamsetti Subhash on Sunday said 350 acres have been identified near Kotipalli ferry to set up industries while six acres earmarked at Ramachandrapuram for setting up industrial units to be eventually allotted to 125 widows in the constituency.

Participating as a chief guest in a ‘Speed of Doing Business’ meeting in Konaseema at Ramachandrapuram on Sunday, Subhash said with the hectic efforts of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and human resources minister N. Lokesh, Rs 1.50 lakh crore investments has come to Andhra Pradesh and the government has recognised the tourism sector as ‘Industry’.

He said that the government aimed at making one member of a family an industrialist to achieve the 2047 Swarnadhra Vision goal.

He said a blood bank would be set up at Ramachandrapuram and one ``Eat Street’’ and an orphan home would be set up in each mandal in the constituency. He called upon youths to come forward to establish industries by investing in skill development’’.

He said the ‘Speed of Doing Business’ meeting started from Ramachandrapuram constituency as Konaseema is the most convenient place for setting up of industries.

He aimed at making young entrepreneurs in the district by encouraging people to set up industrial units in every constituency and providing bank linkages to them. He said youths should come forward and the government would take the responsibility of providing facilities to them.

Konaseema district collector R. Mahesh Kumar said the government encourages youths to establish industries through MSME and many youths in the district are exhibiting enthusiasm to set up the industrial units.

Kothapeta MLA Bandaru Satyananda Rao, revenue divisional officer Akhila, Ramachandrapuram tahsildar M. Savitri, medical officer Ashlesha and others were present at the meeting.
