FiberNet plans to sack 410 employees
Vijayawada: AP FiberNet chairman GV Reddy alleged that the YSRC government appointed several unqualified people in their organization. Over 410 employees appointed by the previous government would be sacked.
Speaking to mediapersons, Reddy said that they were not being terminated due to vengeance. There is no ulterior motive behind the sacking of the employees, he said.
The removal is part of the purging the organization. All the 410 employees were recruited with orders from the YSRC leaders.
A few of these employees had worked in the residences of YSRC ministers, MLAs and others leaders as maid servants and car drivers. Crores of rupees have been misused from Fibernet for making payments to these unqualified staff.
The FiberNet is in doldrums and to save the organization, some measures have to be initiated, he said.
Notices have been served to all the 410 employees. Further recruitment will be taken up based on the requirement, Reddy added.
On the illegal payment of Rs 1.5 crore to director Ram Gopal Varma, Reddy said that notices were served to him asking for paying back the money to Fibernet.
