Eluru: A total of 342 students fell ill at IIIT in Nuzvid on Tuesday, with approximately 800 students experiencing illness over the past three days. The students have been suffering from fever, vomiting, and diarrhea. Parents of the affected students have alleged that the management delayed taking preventive measures. An IIIT official stated that a committee has been formed to investigate the issue.
Nara Lokesh stated on X, "The news that students have fallen ill in large numbers in Nujiveedu Triple IT for the past 3 days has worried me. I have directed the authorities to respond immediately and provide better treatment to the students. Health of students should not be neglected. It is the responsibility of the authorities to be vigilant so that such incidents are not repeated."
