Action Against Political Comments on Tirumala Hill: TTD Chairman
Tirupati: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Chairman B.R. Naidu has issued a stern warning against the use of Tirumala as a platform for political commentary. In a recent statement, Naidu stated that anyone making political remarks at the sacred site would face strict action. He reiterated that Tirumala is a holy place, not a venue for political debates.
“We have made it clear in the past, and we are reiterating once again — Tirumala is not a political platform. We cannot tolerate any disturbance to its sanctity,” Naidu said. He further added that the issue was discussed as a special agenda in the first meeting of the newly formed governing body of TTD, where it was unanimously decided to take firm steps in protecting the sanctity of the temple hill.
The Chairman specifically referred to a recent incident involving a leader from Telangana who had reportedly made political comments while visiting Tirumala. Naidu stated that TTD is taking the matter seriously and will take necessary action against the individual involved.
