Manyam’s Adali Viewpoint opens on World Tourism Day

Visakhapatnam: The picturesque Adali Viewpoint in Parvathipuram Manyam district opened for the public coinciding with World Tourism Day on Friday.

District collector A. Shyam Prasad inaugurated the viewpoint in presence of area MLA Nimmaka Jayakrishna and local leaders.

Seethampeta ITDA (Integrated Tribal Development Agency) has spent ₹1.56 crore to develop the Adali Viewpoint. Amid a landscape with carpet grass and plants, there is a kitchen-cum-breakfast area, pathway, lawn-grass flooring for night camping, and a toilet block.
Collector Shyam Prasad said Parvathipuram Manyam has several scenic spots with valleys, waterfalls and picturesque hilltops. Among them is Seethampeta NTR Adventure Park well known for its amusements, where officials celebrated the World Tourism Day in a grand manner with cultural shows. Different stalls had local traditional food, tribal instruments and photos of tourist places.
The collector said all-terrain vehicles will be introduced in the NTR Adventure Park, as Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu had announced ₹1.50 crore for the purpose. A Tribal Museum is being established at a cost of ₹4 crore. ₹27 crore will be spent on opening the Jagathipalli Resorts.
Shyam Prasad said Benarai waterfalls will be developed before the World Tourism Day next year.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Jayakrishna underlined that Seethampeta and Bhamini areas have a great potential for tourism, which can provide employment opportunities to the Adivasi youth.
