All Set for Swearing-In of Chandrababu Naidu

PM Modi and Amit Shah to attend; Chiranjeevi is special invitee

Vijayawada: The countdown has begun for the swearing-in of Telugu Desam chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu as Chief Minister for the fourth time, on Wednesday, at Gannavaram on the city outskirts.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union ministers Amit Shah, J.P. Nadda Bandi Sanjay and several other VVIPs are attending the event. Naidu would take the oath in the auspicious muhurat of 11.27 am at the Kesarapalli IT Park near the Gannavaram airport.

Telugu cine mega star K. Chiranjeevi is the special invitee for the event. He arrived in Vijayawada on Tuesday night. Tamil superstar Rajinikanth also is likely to attend the event. Sources said an invitation was sent to Junior NTR but he was busy in the Devara movie shooting.

Cine actors Ramcharan, Allu Arjun and Nara Rohit got the invitations and are likely to be present. The police made elaborate security arrangements at and around the venue.

Amit Shah, who was expected here on Tuesday night, was to meet Naidu at his residence and to discuss various important national and state political scenarios.

The SPG for security of Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducted its advanced security liaison (ASL) trial run with Krishna district police and officials of the central Intelligence agencies on Tuesday. The ASL was conducted from the Gannavaram airport to the area near the IT Park at Kesarapalli.

According to sources, 20 to 21 MLAs from the Telugu Desam might be included in the ministry. From the 21 MLAs of the Jana Sena, three or four would be inducted. Pawan Kalyan is likely to get the Deputy CM post. A senior leader of JS, Nadendla Manohar, would get a minister post.

Two MLAs from the BJP might be included in the ministry. Dharmavaram MLA Satya Kumar and Vijayawada West MLA Sujana Chowdary are the likely choices.

As many as 7,000 police personnel were deployed for the security and NTR district police commissioner Rama Krishna said only the vehicles (buses/cars) with authorised passes will be allowed to enter the venue in Gannavaram.

The government made arrangements for a live screening of the swearing-in ceremony for the general public. LED screens have been set up at IGMC stadium, B.R. Ambedkar Smirti Vanam, Bus Station, Railway Station, the Lenin Centre, the Patamata ZP Boys High School, the Makineni Basava Punnaiah Stadium, the Gymkhana Grounds and Vidyadarapuram Mini Stadium in Vijayawada city.

Similarly, LED screens have been arranged in all cities and towns of AP for the convenience of the public.
