Amarnath accuses AP govt of diverting attention with TTD laddu issue

Visakhapatnam: Former minister Gudivada Amarnath has accused the alliance government of using the TTD laddu controversy as a diversionary tactic to deflect attention from its 100-day rule’s failures and unfulfilled promises.

He and YSRC corporators staged a protest at the GVMC Gandhi statue, wearing black scarves to denounce the government’s propaganda on the TTD laddu issue.
The YSRC leaders subsequently proceeded to the GVMC council meeting to continue their protest. Amarnath expressed his dismay at the government’s exploitation of Lord Venkateswara for political gain and criticised its false comments regarding the Tirupati temple's prasadam laddu. He stated, "To distract from pressing issues like the Vijayawada floods, unfulfilled promises, and the sinking of the Amaravati, the government is resorting to false propaganda about TTD laddu."Amarnath emphasised the public’s awareness of the government's actions and highlighted former CM Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy's request for a CBI inquiry into the matter. He also accused CM N. Chandrababu Naidu of exacerbating the issue. Amarnath demanded that the truth be revealed in the laddu dispute and called for those responsible to be held accountable. The protest was attended by party district president Kola Gurulu, GVMC floor leader Banala Srinivasa Rao, and YSRC corporators.
