Amit Shah in Tirumala to Seek Divine Blessings Ahead of Poll Results

Tirupati: Ahead of the June 4 vote counting, Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in the holy town of Tirumala on Thursday evening to offer prayers at the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple.

After wrapping up his months-long extensive election campaign for the BJP, Shah landed at the Renigunta airport from Tiruchi. He travelled by road to Tirumala hills and received a warm welcome from TTD Executive Officer A.V. Dharma Reddy, and other officials at the Vakulamatha Nilayam. He stayed there for the night.

On Friday around 8.30 am, Shah will worship and seek blessings from Lord Venkateswara at the hill temple. In anticipation of Shah's visit, the TTD made elaborate arrangements to ensure a smooth and secure darshan experience for the VIP.

Tight security was evident in and around the temple town.

Shah's visit to Tirumala just days before the election results gained significant media attention. It is felt that the senior BJP leader aimed to seek divine blessings for himself and the party at this crucial juncture.

State BJP leaders and local party cadre converged at Renigunta airport and the Vakulamata Nilayam in Tirumala to welcome Shah. After completing the religious rituals on Friday morning, Amit Shah would return to Delhi.
