Anantapur aims for 'Swarna Ananta' with 10-point development plan: Collector

Anantapur: Anantapur Collector Dr Vinod Kumar confidently stated that Anantapur will transform into ‘Swarna Ananta’ within the next five years by implementing a 10-point formula for the exclusive development of various sectors.

"We aim to place Anantapur at the forefront by utilising all resources, inspired by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s Swarndhra@2047 vision, and achieve significant growth within five years," he explained.

The Collector hoisted the national flag at the police parade grounds during the 76th Republic Day celebrations on Sunday. In his address, he highlighted the focus on horticulture, livestock, renewable energy, industrial development, and tourism to elevate Anantapur to the top rank in the state. Banana, mango, tomato, sweet orange, and chilli crop clusters have already been formed to support farmers in earning higher incomes from their produce.
Regarding industrial development, the Collector announced plans for a new industrial park at Kudair and an MSME park at Rapthadu to attract entrepreneurs and establish industries. He also outlined the development of Religious Circuit, Heritage Circuit, and Eco-Tourism Circuits to boost tourism in the district.
The Collector presented meritorious awards to employees and individuals who have contributed significantly to social services in the district.
SP P. Jagadish, Joint Collector Shivanarayan Sharma, MP Ambika Lakshmi Narayana, Whip Kalava Srinivasulu, MLA D. Prasad, and several other dignitaries attended the celebrations.
As a deviation from routine ‘At Home’ events, the Collector invited families of jawans who sacrificed their lives in service to the nation and felicitated them.
Similarly, Republic Day celebrations were held in Puttaparthi, Kadapa, and Annamayya districts, where respective collectors hoisted national flags.
At the AP Central University, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Kori highlighted India’s transformation over the past 75 years from a post-colonial state to a global leader in space, technology, and sustainability. He reaffirmed CUAP’s commitment to fostering innovation, research, and socio-economic progress. “As we move forward, CUAP remains steadfast in its mission to nurture talent and contribute to the nation’s growth,” he emphasised.
