Anantapur: A video of the Anantapur district revenue officer (DRO) playing online rummy on the dais while the one-man commission on sub-classification of scheduled castes (SCs) had been holding a meeting at the Anantapur collectorate has gone viral on social media.
Chairman of the commission Rajeev Ranjan Misra had been at the Revenue Bhavan in the collectorate of Anantapur on Monday to get opinions and collect representations from SC organisations over the categorisation of SCs.
Along with Rajeev Ranjan Misra, Anantapur collector Dr. Vinod Kumar, police and other department officials had been present to receive representations from the public.
Anantapur DRO Malola, also on the dais as part of the meeting, appeared deeply involved in playing online rummy game. The same had been recorded by others on their mobiles and made viral on social media on Tuesday.
Reacting to this, collector Vinod Kumar issued a notice to DRO Malola and asked the joint collector to submit a detailed report on the same.
