Naidu Unveils Swarn Kuppam Vision-2029
Tirupati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has unveiled ambitious plans to transform his home constituency into a modern, self-sustaining region and a prominent tourism hub.
He was launching the Swarna Kuppam Vision-2029 blueprint at Dravidian University in Kuppam on Monday.
Naidu expressed his gratitude to the people of Kuppam, who have elected him eight times over nearly three decades. “Even as Chief Minister, my first commitment is to the people of Kuppam who have placed their faith in me,” he said.
Promising rapid and inclusive development, he pledged to make the constituency a benchmark for sustainable progress.
Naidu criticised the YSR Congress party for “obstructing Kuppam’s development over the past five years,” citing political vendetta as the reason for stalled projects, and harassment of Telugu Desam workers. “Kuppam’s progress was deliberately hindered, but its development is now unstoppable,” he declared.
The CM said he had formed the Kuppam Area Development Authority (KADA), led by a young IAS officer, as part of the comprehensive plans under Swarn Kuppam Vision-2029. He pledged to create at least 15,000 jobs by attracting large-scale industries, ensure 100% solar power coverage of homes, connect every corner with roads, and complete the long-awaited cargo airport.
Other initiatives include setting up of skill development centres, making farming more profitable, and providing cooking gas through the Deepam scheme.
Naidu interacted with students, explaining the Vision-2029’s “Padi Sutralu” (Ten Principles), which focus on employment creation, water security, deep tech integration, and farmers’ aspirations. He reiterated his commitment to turning Kuppam into a model constituency with zero poverty, advanced technology adoption, and robust support for education and skilling.
He also emphasized his urge for promoting entrepreneurship in every household and ensuring financial growth for every family.
Raising his concern over falling birthrates, the chief minister called for urgent attention to population management. He warned against the challenges faced by countries like South Korea and Japan, where declining birthrates have led to societal issues.
“Kuppam’s birth rate has fallen to 1.5, below the replacement level of 2.0. We must act now”, he urged.
Criticising the modern reluctance toward parenthood, he added, “Had your parents thought so, would you have been here today?”
Naidu, as usual, highlighted his role in transforming Hyderabad into a global IT hub through Cyberabad and Hi-Tech City.
