Andhra Minister Donates Medical Equipment to Owk Hospital

Kurnool: Roads and Buildings minister B.C. Janardhan Reddy donated advanced medical equipment worth Rs 25 lakh to Owk Government Hospital on Wednesday from his own funds. This followed a recent visit where hospital officials informed him about the shortage of equipment.
He urged doctors to provide quality healthcare to patients and enhance the hospital’s reputation. He donated dental X-ray equipment worth Rs 18 lakh and promised to repair and upgrade the hospital’s RO plant using his own funds.
Earlier, officials had requested a complete blood checkup machine (CBM), anaesthesia-related equipment, and CCTV cameras. These have now been provided through his own funds.
Speaking on the occasion, Janardhan Reddy recalled that during his previous visit to Owk Government Hospital, doctors highlighted the need for better infrastructure and emergency medical equipment. He said that fulfilling his promise to the people of Owk mandal, he provided the necessary equipment within a month.
He urged doctors to offer timely and effective medical services, stressing that their education and profession should benefit the community. He also warned that negligence in patient support would not be tolerated. Expressing satisfaction with the hospital’s services, he said Owk Government Hospital is now comparable to corporate hospitals. The minister assured that any further needs of the hospital would be addressed certainly if brought to his notice.
