Andhra Pradesh: 13-year-old boy murdered by uncle
Anantapur: A 13-year-old boy was brutally murdered after being abducted by his uncle from his school in Amidalagondi village, Madakasira mandal, Satyasai district. His body was later found near the Karnataka border. Police cracked the case within 24 hours and discovered the boy’s body in a deep forest area of Pavagada taluk, Karnataka, a few kilometers from the village.
Sources revealed that the victim, Chethan Kumar, was an 8th-grade student at the government ZP High School in Amidalagondi. He was abducted on Thursday from the school premises by unknown individuals. When the boy did not return home by evening, his parents and teachers filed a complaint with the Madakasira police. Circle inspector Rajakumar and his team immediately initiated an investigation and reviewed CCTV footage from the area.
During the analysis of the footage, teachers informed the police that a close relative had taken the boy from school. Tragically, his body was later discovered in the forest of Pavagada taluk with his throat slit using an axe, and a cloth stuffed in his mouth. Further investigations revealed that the boy’s uncle, Ashok, killed him over a family property dispute.
According to sources, Venkata Swamy of Maruvapalli, the boy’s grandfather, has two wives. Chethan Kumar was the son of the first wife and lived in Amidalagondi. Ashok, the brother of Swamy's second wife Radhika, allegedly plotted the murder to prevent the first wife’s family from claiming property. Police have detained Ashok and one of his close aides in connection with the crime.
