Andhra Pradesh: 92 Police Personnel Honoured for Service

Visakhapatnam: City police commissioner Shankhabrata Bagchi awarded rewards to 92 police personnel during the monthly crime review meeting held on Saturday in Visakhapatnam.

The commissioner emphasised the importance of recognising the hard work of the police staff, particularly in light of their contributions to enhancing the safety and security of Visakhapatnam. "It is imperative that we acknowledge the efforts of our officers, from Home Guards to Circle Inspectors, who have shown remarkable dedication in their roles," Bagchi stated.

He further highlighted several recent achievements by the police, including successful operations against marijuana smuggling, recovery of stolen property, and the swift rescue of a missing girl within 24 hours. Notably, the police also dismantled an inter-state gang of minors, resulting in the arrest of 19 individuals and the rescue of 10 children.

This monthly reward system, termed the "Reward Mela," is set to continue as a feature of the crime review meetings, ensuring that the contributions of police personnel are consistently acknowledged and celebrated.
