Andhra Pradesh: Anganwadi Teacher Suffers Burn Injuries, Hospitalised
Visakhapatnam: A teacher attached to an Anganwadi centre, suffered grievous burn injuries when she boarded a parked autorickshaw, which caught fire. The mishap happened at Srinivasnagar locality of Akkayyapalem; causing commotion among the residents.
According to sources, the teacher had boarded the ill-fated vehicle with her friend and duo was chatting when the fire broke out suddenly. Some of the eyewitnesses noticed that two were entering the vehicle, besides, the incident was also captured on nearby CCTV cameras.
As the flames were coming out of the vehicle, the teacher suffered grievous burn injuries while her companion fled from the spot.
The injured teacher was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The Fourth Town police stated that the victim was attempting to lit something with a match stick inside the autorickshaw which led to the fire. A case has been registered at the police station and further probe is underway.
