Andhra Pradesh CM Naidu Envisions AI-Driven Amaravati Capital

Vijayawada: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu wants Capital Amaravati to be an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven city.

At a review meeting he held on Thursday with urban development minister Ponguru Narayana and capital region development authority officials at the Secretariat, Naidu said that the logo of Amaravati must be inspired by artificial intelligence.
The first letter A and the last letter I of the name of Amaravati should be designed as an artificial intelligence city logo, he told the meeting.
He said officials must formulate plans to develop Amaravathi as AI city. "The buildings of the capital should be made in such a way that technology is available in every corner. Amaravati is the capital of gods,” he averred.
Officials informed the CM that work on CRDA office building in the G+7 format did not move an inch ahead in the past five years. “Complete the construction in the next 90 days,” the CM said and stressed that there should be no compromise on the quality of the construction and latest technology must be used for the erection of the building.
The previous government, he said, had also ignored the Happy Nest residential project, which was taken up in 14 acres five years ago. Recalling that the plots were sold out in just one hour during his last term, the officials told the Chief Minister that since the buyers however pulled out because of the ‘unfavourable’ conditions under the YSRC rule. “Revive the project,” the Chief Minister told them.
Maintaining that still 3,558 acres needed to be acquired in the capital area, the chief minister said “the farmers are ready to give their lands.”
The officials said 60 per cent of the jungle clearance works were complete in the capital region. Naidu asked them to use drones for supervising the clearance works.
The chief minister asked the officials to take up the metro rail works in Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada at a fast pace. The managing director of the AP Metro Rail Project, Ramakrishna Reddy, told Naidu that the Visakhapatnam metro rail works would be completed in two phases -- the first phase of 46km at a cost of Rs 11,400 crore and the second phase of 30km with Rs 5,734 crore.
Naidu said the first phase works in Visakhapatnam should be completed in the next four years. In Vijayawada, the metro rail works being taken up with Rs 11,000 crore for an extent of 38km should also be accelerated, he said.
