Andhra Pradesh CM seeks support from all to make Telugus world’s No.1
Vijayawada: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has said he aims to make Telugus the No.1 in the world. In an open letter released through his social media page on Sunday, Naidu extended his greetings to the Telugu people across the world and those who arrived in their motherland on the occasion of the Sankranti festival.
Naidu laid stress on the need for Telugu culture and traditions to flourish.
The CM said he would work to eliminate all economic inequalities and improve the living standards of all the people. Such a concept would help us celebrate the festival in its true spirit, he said.
Naidu said the state government is keen on realizing its vision of zero poverty, which is one of the 10 principles of ‘Swarnandhra Vision-2047’. He called for a prominent role for P4 (public-private-people-partnership) in realizing this vision.
“Establishing a society free from property is our goal and if the people take part in the government programmes, that will help realise it. I want the people in the state and those who arrived at their home villages/towns to celebrate the festival, should discuss the issue. We are ready to accept advice, experiences, thoughts and suggestions on it. We have even set up a separate portal for it and we will receive ideas and suggestions from the people in the next 30 days so that we can formulate policies to eliminate poverty from the state,” the CM said.
“I appeal to all the members to contribute their share in their goal to make Telugu race to be the No.1 in the world. I want the people to make a resolution on Sankranti festival day to help change the lives of the poor and to make AP a healthy, happy and developing state.”
Referring to a series of reforms initiated in the undivided AP in 1995, the CM stated that they helped change the lives of crores of people and the P3 (public-private-partnership) initiated as part of economic reforms helped employment opportunities and creation of wealth, resulting in children of ordinary farmers reaching high positions both in the country and abroad.
The CM said he aims to extend support in the form of education to children of poor parents, generation of employment opportunities and skill development so that such reforms would help the poor families to sustain in the society.
He urged those who were in high positions to pay back to the society and NRIs to become mentors of the poor. Recalling how the NRIs and industrialists came forward and changed the villages by developing infrastructure in a big way, he urged the people to come forward with the same spirit to give a major lift to the poor and develop the society by all means.
