Andhra Pradesh: Court monitor system in Eluru soon
Kakinada: Eluru SP K. Pratap Shiva Kishore said a new court monitoring system would be introduced in the police department to expedite trials of cases in courts. The SP held a meeting at the police conference hall at Eluru on Saturday with court constables.
He said the court monitoring cell would be established in the district to supervise trails happening in the courts, and the staff working in the system would assist the court officials to ensure that the accused are punished.
He said the role of the court constables is crucial in ensuring that the accused are punished. He said once a case is registered by the authorities and the investigation is completed, the responsibility of ensuring that the accused is convicted rests heavily on the court constables.
The SP emphasized that the court constables should perform their duties in such a way that criminals in are afraid of committing crimes due to certainty of punishment in the courts. If an accused escapes, it harms society.
To ensure that the accused are punished, court constables must present witnesses in the court on time. The SP warned that any negligence in duty would result in action being taken.
He also mentioned that court constables who show excellence in their duties will be rewarded with cash and commendation certificates. He provided appropriate guidance and instructions to the court constables stressing the importance of documenting daily court activities and informing higher authorities.
