Andhra Pradesh first state to conduct skill census
Vijayawada: TDP supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu assumed charge as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh this evening. He was sworn-in as the CM of AP on Wednesday.
Soon after assuming office, N. Chandrababu Naidu signed on five files which included issuing mega DSC notification, reopening Anna canteens, increasing social pension amount to Rs 4000, cancellation of Land Titling Act, conducting skill census.
The skill census is aimed at creating opportunities for the unemployed youth in Andhra Pradesh.
Andhra Pradesh is the first state in the country to have a skill census. The process will identify and document the skills of individuals and provide them with appropriate training based on their identified skills to make them industry-ready. The TDP government believes that the census will help the government understand the needs of the unemployed youth and also upskill them to make them more employable. It is aimed at increasing the overall efficiency of the workforce in the state.
